Sharel Shoff, Candidate For Town Council

I have been elected to council for the Town of Drumheller for two terms.  The reason that I entered municipal politics is because I wanted to have a voice in the way our town was being administrated.  I consider myself a people person and I am always willing to listen to the citizens and try to find a solution to any concerns that they bring to me.
My family migrated to Drumheller in 1912.  I am a third generation citizen. I am proud to be living in Drumheller and have raised my two children here.  I believe that this town has much to offer for all citizens and together we can make it even a better place to live. On October 18 please VOTE Sharel Shoff for councillor.
It is a great experience to work with various levels of government and learn just what is necessary to make our town operate more efficiently.  To make an informed decision on any matter there is much reading to become informed about any issue.  Example: Infrastructure which includes water, waste water, roads, utilities, parks, buildings, and recreational facilities.  Community services is another department which is composed of programs offered, rentals of facilities, school programs, bylaw enforcement, economic development.   Finance dept is another large learning curve,  to know where your money as taxpayers is spent. I have just touched on a few items, there are many more not mentioned.

  1. Sharel,

Should stop getting involved in administration of the Town. Giving employees direction is not allowed under the Municipal Government Act.
